Description - A finely crafted Victorian locket brooch in 15ct rich yellow gold, dating to Circa / 1890.

The brooch features applied high-relief oak leaves and acorns, a traditional Victorian symbol of strength, endurance , and longevity.

The piece is richly decorated with wirework and beaded edging, centred by a hand-assembled  high relief acorn and foliage motif.

The reverse retains its original glazed locket compartment, designed to hold a photograph or sentimental memento.

Fitted with a period pin which is solid silver & " C Clasp " , with a safety chain.

The frame the glass sits in is in base metal..

This brooch is an excellent example of Quality British Victorian Gold Smithing ,most likely produced in England where 15ct gold was the standard from 1854 to 1932.

A very fine example of Victorian Craftsmanship a wonderful piece for a collector.

The Valuation is an old one dated 7th of August 2020 , the brooch is in excellent antique condition.
