Description - A Delightful and highly collectable mid-century Japanese novelty radiogram jewellery box by "Musica ". Circa 1960's
Designed as a miniature stereo console , this charming piece features an amber lift-up lid revealing a working turntable with a red record , flanked by faux woven speaker panels and a chrome style control fascia marked " Super Stereo Type Orgoal" Made in hard good quality plastic
" Orgoal " was a Japanese term often used for music box mechanism ( derived from " organ " - mechanical musical movement ).
Both side compartments open to reveal four pull out small lined drawers adorned with gold flour-de-lis motifs a whimsical yet stylish nod to European decorative influence so popular in 1960's Japanese export design.
The radiogram music box has splayed atomic-era legs.
The music mechanism plays " Romance de l'Amour & yes you can put the stylus on the record which goes around as it plays. The winds is underneath the radiogram & it has an on & off knob on the front fascia.

Fantastic vintage condition - a small area on the front fascia has a small rubbed section & a couple of minor marks to the amber lid. This doesn't effect the look or use of this wonderful mid-century piece.
