Birmingham 1884 - Samuel Garside.
Description - An exceptional and highly collectable example of the Late Victorian Aesthetic Movement jewellery, this sterling silver hinged bangle dates precisely to 1884.
Crafted by the renowned Birmingham manufacturing silversmith Samuel Garside, this piece perfectly captures the structural elegance and bold stone set designs popularised in the late 9th century .
The face of the cuff features five large, beautifully faceted natural citrines displaying rich, deep honey amber hue.
Each gemstone is housed in an open backed, dramatic crown claw setting that allows light to flood through the citrines creating magnificent depth and brilliance.
The central panel is framed by delicate rose gold gilt borders, creating a striking two tone contrast against the heavily hand engraved geometric floral background.
True to the high end craftsmanship of the period, the bangle is trimmed with it' original fully intact " bead & reel" dimensional borders.
Complete with a secure integrated box clasp and its original fine link silver safety chain, this beautiful cuff bangle is in fantastic condition.
