Description - This is a really beautiful Sterling Silver Locket & Sterling Chain. It carries assay marks to the Verso there is also a Lion Passant & another unreadable mark on the inside front cover. 

The assay marks are worn on the verso due to that area rubbing against clothing etc.

We believe this lovely piece dates to Circa - 1960's, the chain is a later addition.

The locket measures 5cm or 50mm from bale to Botton edge & 3cmm / 30mm at widest point.

The front cover has beautifully hand engraved & etched Forget-me-not Flowers, there most prominent  meaning of the flower is a reminder of someone or something that should not be forgotten.

A perfect design for a locket, where we might keep a treasured photo or piece that has great personal significance to the wearer.

Upon opening the locket you will find both sides have chapter rings a lining & covers, it is in fantastic condition.

The locket is hinged & closes securely with a resounding snap.

The chain is sterling silver & hallmarked on the clasp , it is flat curb link style and is 51cm in length.

A lovely sized locket, with gorgeous engraved detail to the front & in overall fantastic condition.
