Description -  A wonderful Art Nouveau Brooch which can convert to a pendant.

Classic Art Nouveau design & artistry , gorgeous handcrafted details.

The brooch is 20.0mm in length by 22.4mm in width, handmade in 22 carat gold, the pin at the rear is in solid 14ct yellow gold, we believe the original pin had been replaced with this one at some point in its very long life.

The frame of the brooch is handcrafted in the design of a wood branch The Arts & Crafts - Art Nouveau period was all about organic design , the natural world, etc were common themes with goldsmiths.

The three flowers which look very much like pansies are hand enamelled n varying shades of green with the edges of each flower petal finished in detailed gold work.

There is some very slight wear to some of the enamelling, viewed with magnification. It does not take away from the presentation of this beautiful antique piece.

To the verso is a 14ct gold pin which closes as it should.

There is a bar style piece to the verso which forms a loop at the edge which a chain could be put through so it can also been worn as pendant.

An excellent example of Art Nouveau Jewellery, in wonderful condition a gorgeous piece to wear & treasure.
