Description - A wonderful Antique Sewing needle case which would have originally been suspended from a ladies chatelaine.

Assayed in Birmingham in 1863 it carries crisp hallmarks, Lion passant, Date letter O along one side of the case.

The case measures from hanger 65mm, the case itself is approx 60mm.

It is beautifully etched & hand engraved & has an Oval Blank cartouche which could easily be engraved if you choose too.

The lid comes off, it also has the Lion passant & date letter inside the lid cover.

These beautiful pieces are being worn as pendants now which is wonderful to see them being repurposed.

There are a couple of very tiny minor dents mentioned for accuracy.

This beautiful needle case is 163 years old a lovely treasure to add to your collection.
