Description - A Classic Style Eternity Ring, Featuring Five Gorgeous Diamonds, four of which are transitional Cut & one very early Peruzzi cut diamond.
" Peruzzi " cut diamonds is a diamond cut developed in the 17th Century by Venetian Polisher Vincent Perruzi.
These gorgeous diamonds were all hand cut he increased the number of facets to 33 on the crown compared to previous cuts, which significantly enhanced the diamonds Fire & Brilliance.
Peruzzi cut diamonds are typically deep with a square or slightly rectangular shape a prominent cutlet and broad facets.
Often diamonds were passed down through generations of families & used in the creation of a new piece.
We will never know for sure how the very early cut " Peruzzi " diamond came to be used in the setting, but it is extremely old & I think rather special.
Four of the diamonds are hand cut transitional diamonds measuring 3.85mm colour G-I with SI-I1
Total Transitional cut diamond weight - 0.85 carat. Gorgeous bright fiery diamonds, the " Peruzzi Cut diamond is on one end of the setting, measuring 3.04 x 3.04mm x 2.40 mm approx 0.16 carat Colour J/K with I1clarity ( (some natural inclusion on its crown ) Total Diamond Weight - 1.01 carat.
The five diamonds are mounted in 18ct white gold coronets the 18ct yellow gold band measures approx 1.74mm by 0.86mm at the base , the ring has been cast & handmade.
A very traditional style of ring, full of old world charm & grace, with beautiful fiery antique hand cut diamonds that would look stunning worn with a band or engagement ring.
The ring is in very good condition, all claws & settings in tact.
