Description - This is a really beautiful Antique bracelet, made up from linking six Albert style fob medals together. A substantial bracelet weighing 35.19 grams.
My sale price is excellent value for this beautiful antique fob bracelet, considering how gold prices have increased.
The medals date from 1863 to 1929. There are two in Rose gold, one in 15ct gold and three in yellow gold.
The length of the bracelet is 22cm, the bolt clasp is 15mm wide an 9ct yellow gold.
The first Fob is heart shaped in solid 15ct yellow gold, with the initials WMC beautifully hand engraved, we believe it has originally been a pin/brooch but the pin clasp has been removed.There is some peeling to the reverse but the core metal tests as solid 15ct gold.
The next Fob was assayed in Birmingham in 1863, it is solid 9ct rose gold, engraved to the front with the initials AP, also detailed hand engraving.
The shield fob medal has a raised cartouche with initials WB again with fine hand engraving to the edges and also engraved to the rear date 1905 - 50 yards club and the gentleman's name. Solid 9ct yellow gold.
The round fob medal with a raised centre piece is 9ct rose gold, assayed in Chester 1920, engraved to the rear "Muker" Billiards handicap , first prize, the gentleman's name and the date 1924
The Maltese cross style fob medal has a raised circle cartouche to the centre with the initials MCS 1929, again beautifully hand engraved 9ct solid yellow gold.
Last but not least, has a raised centre section with hand engraved crossed rifles , engraved to the rear Killarney Rifle club , won by H Watson 1925 in 9ct solid yellow gold..
This is a really beautiful collection of antique fobs, they all have "HIGH QUALITY" hand engraving, the workmanship has obviously been done by a master engraver.
It is so lovely to see these wonderful antique fob medals being repurposed so they can be worn and treasured once again.
