Description -  A truely beautiful Antique Waltham Full Hunting Pocket Watch Circa 1890-1901.

This beautiful timepiece is in fantastic running condition, it looses approx 2minutes a day, but we advise with any of the antique watches that they are serviced regularly, & treated with care. I generally have mine serviced every two years .

This is made by the famous American Company " Waltham" the movement number is - 6766577

The movement is signed " Waltham Massachusetts "

The case is 14ct gold filled by "J. Boss & Keystone Watch Case Company" case number - 26559918

The outer case is hand engraved & machine finished, the front cover has a cartouche with a beautiful hand engraved pastoral scene with what looks to be a church & steeple in the back ground, there are leaves and finely detailed foliage with a machine finished background to the overall cover.

The back cover has a blank cartouche again with hand engraved leaves & foliage . The engraving is exquisite 

The outer edge has raised scroll & beaded details, giving a pie crust edge to the watch face.

A size 6 Full Hunting Pocket watch J Model 1890 it has 7 jewels with a crown set movement.

The face of the watch is  white porcelain signed " American Waltham "  with black numerals, the hands are spade style also black with deep blue highlights. It also has a secondary dial, . The crystal is glass and in beautiful condition.

The watch case is 40mm in diameter, a larger size Full Hunting.

Overall the Pocket watch is in fabulous condition ,the dust covers are fantastic , everything closes with a resounding snap,  it really has been well looked after. A superb example from Waltham not only beautiful to look at but runs very well keeping good time, an antique piece to treasure.
